19th Century Pine Blanket Chest

19TH-CENTURY PINE BLANKET CHEST — $1395

Handsome antique pine blanket chest with beautifully mellowed color and a wonderfully worn, time-softened surface. Constructed of substantial solid pine boards with visible hand-cut dovetailed corner joints and old iron hardware.

The broad lift-top opens to generous storage, making the chest as useful today as it is decorative. Particularly lovely at the foot of a bed, beneath a window, or used as a low occasional table.

The old pine retains the variations, marks and wear acquired through generations of use, giving the piece exceptional warmth and character.
