Siheyuan Stool Square

Siheyuan homes are known for their detail to town planning. From the fact that the entrance building, and main house sit on the north-south axis to the deliberately private interior courtyard, every piece had a meaning. The courtyard was, in fact, a frequent setting place for taking tea. Such customs generated the need for simple, easily portable seating. Our vintage Siheyuan Stool, Square is a hand-crafted artifact of these familial customs. Condition and size vary.
