Southern French Pottery Vessel

Hand crafted in Southern France circa 1880 and made of earthenware, this pottery vessel is round in shape and dressed with a large handle on both sides, and a pouring spout at the other extremity. Both Provencal "Cruches" have a glazed finish in the traditional Provencal green palette. The jars are in good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich patinated finish. Use them as decorative accent pieces on top of kitchen cabinets! A few chips you can see in the detailed images but that is what makes the charm of these because of age.
